Watermelon Tummies

And of course, since she was only a child she couldn’t exactly know what it means to have a baby. But she had a question forming in her head. It was kind of hard to explain. It kind of looked like this:

So there’s not so much a watermelon in my tummy after all. It’s a real live individual, someone who can live and breathe and think like us—well, maybe not think, not so much.

So we have to sing to it, and let it know that it’s loved. We do it by singing songs. They don’t have to be fancy songs, just nursery rhymes that we make up, and when I sit at home with Daddy I can hear both him and Mommy talking saying that they love me,

sitting on the grass, doing their research.
