Neptune

“I see what you’re saying!”

“That’s good! Because the next planet you’re going to see is going to look like a sea. But it isn’t one—not really.”

“But how is that possible?”

“Looks can be deceiving,” my teacher winked. “Just think back to what we were at the beginning.”

“We were nothing.”

“No, we were something. And we were having a birthday party, weren’t we?”

“Right.”

“And we got a rocket ship, and we started flying. Right?”

“Right.”

“Well, way back at the beginning I told you we were going to do something amazing. We made birthday cake ice cream. And I think you can see now, the ice cream was kind of like our galaxy. And what was the blue fruit we put in it?”

“A blueberry!”

“Now, Neptune looks kind of like a blueberry, doesn’t it? So aren’t they kind of the same thing?”

“No. They’re completely different!”

“As I said—looks can be deceiving.”
